I'm a fitness and health education professional who wears many hats, but still has time to get at least 30 miles of running and a few thousand kettlebell swings into my week.
Helping others improve their quality of life through movement, strength training, and clinically proven diagnostic tests and orthopedic devices is rewarding work. I collaborate with orthopedic trauma surgeons and podiatrists to determine the best medical device and bracing solutions for their patients and help GPs and cardiologists learn more about diagnostic solutions for improved patient care. I also promote and assist universities with accreditation of their exercise science and exercise physiology programs with ACSM, CoAES and CAAHEP organizations.
At my private practice, Proprius, I focus on training and motivating individual clients to achieve their personal goals, perform their best, prevent overuse injuries, execute physical rehabilitation plans, and maintain mobility and flexibility. I'm great with both short- and long-term physical rehabilitation and strength training programs.
I graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University where I also competed as a varsity cross country and track and field athlete. I'm also a licensed massage therapist and have a Corrective Exercise Specialization certification from NASM.
Feel free to contact me if you are a general practitioner or specialist who would like to know more about any of the clinical diagnostic tests from G.D. Biosciences, are a university program director and need help with the accreditation process for your exercise science and exercise physiology programs with CoAES/CAAHEP, would like to schedule an appointment with me at Proprius, need a wellness lunch and learn speaker, or want to argue about the minimum amount of training to do to complete a marathon.
